Documents you will need
- Valid passport — minimum 2 blank pages, valid at least 3 months beyond your return date
- Copies of all passports issued in the last 3 years
- Schengen visa application form — completed online, signed in person at the embassy
- Two photographs — 3,5 × 4,5 mm, white background, taken within the last 6 months
- Confirmed return flight reservation (booking reference; a paid ticket is not required)
- Accommodation confirmation covering the full duration of the stay
- Day-by-day trip itinerary
- Bank statements for the last 3–6 months, minimum average balance around AMD 200,000
- Employment certificate stating position, salary and approved leave dates
- Last 3 payslips, or tax returns for the last 2 years if self-employed
- Proof of property, business ownership or other assets in Armenia, where applicable
- Travel medical insurance with minimum €30,000 coverage, valid across the Schengen area
- Policy covering the full duration of the intended stay
- Certificate in English, or with a certified translation
- Letter of invitation from your host in the destination country
- Proof of the host's residence status — residence permit, passport or national ID
- Accommodation confirmation signed by the host

Italy visa questions
The application is submitted through the TLScontact visa application centre. Based on the submitted application, a Schengen C short-stay visa is issued. It allows stays of up to 90 days in any 180-day period across all 27 Schengen member states.
The standard Schengen set is required: an application form, valid passport, photograph, return flight reservation, proof of accommodation, travel insurance with coverage of at least €30,000, and proof of financial means. For Italy, particular importance is placed on a clear and internally consistent itinerary.
Typically 5–15 working days. During June to August allow 3–4 weeks. Submit at least 3 weeks before departure.
Apply at the Italian Embassy if Italy is your main destination or first port of entry. The visa is then valid throughout the entire zone regardless of which embassy issued it.
Bank statements for 3–6 months showing a stable balance. As a guide, €100–120 per day of stay is the accepted threshold, though the embassy assesses each file in full context.
