Angsana Velavaru
The resort offers 3 restaurants and private, luxury beachfront and water villas with private pools on Velavaru Island (Turtle Island). It is a 45-minute seaplane ride from Malé International Airport.
Angsana Velavaru is a family-friendly resort with indoor and outdoor kids’ clubs, offering a wide variety of activities, including babysitting services.
To capture the best of both worlds, Angsana Velavaru is half on the crystal-clear waters of the Maldivian ocean and half on the white sandy beaches of the South Nilandhe Atoll.
Some beach villas are equipped with private garden terraces featuring swimming pools. All beach villas are equipped with modern amenities such as outdoor rain showers, TV, coffee and tea-making facilities, electric kettles, bedroom and outdoor slippers, and bathrobes.
All In-Ocean villas are built apart from the island by the house reefs. Each In-Ocean villa is spacious and has an infinity pool. All villas have direct access to the beach and ocean. Wi-Fi is available throughout the island.
Angsana's chefs serve a wide variety of local and international cuisines. Maldivian cuisine, fresh seafood, and international dishes are served at the resort's three restaurants. The iconic Funa restaurant serves a fresh lobster dinner. For additional dining, guests can book a destination dining experience, an in-villa dining experience, or a floating breakfast.
Guests can relax with Angsana’s award-winning spa treatments, request dolphin-watching trips, whale shark excursions, or fishing in a traditional Maldivian Dhoni. Diving activities can be arranged at Angsana Velavaru. The resort has its own 5-Star PADI Dive Center on request and its own marine laboratory.
