United Kingdom visa questions
A Standard Visitor Visa for tourism, business meetings or visiting family, allowing stays of up to 6 months. Applications are submitted online through the UKVI portal, with a biometric appointment at BLS International in Yerevan.
The required documents include the application confirmation, the £115 fee receipt, biometric appointment confirmation, a valid passport, six months of bank statements, an employer letter confirming approved leave, and evidence of ties to Armenia. Financial documentation and a clear explanation of the purpose of travel carry the most weight.
Usually about 3 weeks (15–21 working days) from the date biometrics are enrolled. Priority processing, where available for an additional fee, reduces this to about 5 working days. Apply at least 5 weeks before travel.
No interview is required for a standard visitor visa. Biometrics are collected at VFS Global in Yerevan. In a minority of cases UKVI requests additional supporting documents or a credibility interview.
Lack of credible financial evidence, failure to demonstrate intent to return, an unclear travel purpose, and incomplete documentation. The UK applies a particularly close reading of financial and immigration history.
No. Paid employment is not permitted. Attending meetings, conferences or training as the employee of an overseas company generally is. Work in the UK requires a separate Work Visa.
